Down Syndrome Albania Foundation (DSA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2013 and works in the field of human rights, with a focus on the rights of people with disabilities. <\/h3>\n

DSA advocates for the rights and needs of individuals with Down syndrome in Albania and provides services for children and adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities as well as support for their parents. Our areas of expertise include; assessment and development of children and young people; drafting individual education plans and following them; parent support through individual counseling and group sessions; trainings with a main focus on teachers, psychologists, language and speech therapists, social workers and other professionals working with individuals with disabilities; publication of practical guides for professional work in the field of disability; design and implementation of advocacy, awareness campaigns and fundraising campaigns; organizing conferences and round tables. <\/h3>\n

– Down Syndrome International (DSI) <\/h3>\n

– European Down Syndrome Association (EDSA) <\/h3>\n

– European Association of Service Providers for People with Disabilities (EASPD) <\/h3>\n

The project “PRO PAK”, which DSA is implementing consists in the design and implementation of these activities: <\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

1. Expansion and adaptation of new service spaces in the city of Tirana. <\/h3>\n

2. Providing therapeutic services for children with disabilities 0-12 years old, personal and social autonomy services for individuals aged 12-25 years old and support for their families. <\/h3>\n

<\/h3>\n

3. Implementation of 2 Business Plans for the provision of 2 innovative services. <\/h3>\n

To implement the “PRO PAK” project, Down Syndrome Albania must hire 4 (four) ABA therapists to offer the following service: <\/h3>\n

1. ABA therapists will provide in-center therapeutic services for children with disabilities. <\/h3>\n

Strictly follow individual education plans for each child. <\/h3>\n

Keeping records of each program each child receives services at the center. <\/h3>\n

Have contact with the child’s families and provide daily recommendations. <\/h3>\n

Report to Team Leader and Director of Services. <\/h3>\n

Comply with DSA internal regulations. <\/h3>\n

Participate in every activity that DSA organizes in and out of the center. <\/h3>\n

– Degree in psychology or pedagogy <\/h3>\n

– Master in Clinical, School Psychology or Special Pedagogy <\/h3>\n

– Training in the ABA method <\/h3>\n

– Minimum 1 year work experience with children with disabilities <\/h3>\n

– Updated CV <\/h3>\n
