October to be designated as the Month of Awareness for Down syndrome.

Down Syndrome Albania, together with the “Jonathan” and “Future for You” centers, have agreed for October to be designated as the Month of Awareness for Down syndrome in Albania.

DSA foundation started its journey precisely on this month, October 2013. Some of the activities that will be organized during this month to increase awareness about this syndrome are:

October 5-30 - Awareness Media Campaign "We all need an opportunity to show our talents"
October 25 - Charity concert with world famous tenor and ambassador of DSA, at TKOB, 8:00 PM.
October 26 - A photo exhibition of Turkish photographer with Down syndrome, Cem Robert Osborn, entitled "Istanbul, the way i see it ...", in the ZETA gallery, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
October 27 - Roundtable on the theme "Inclusive Education is still an unreachable reality in the Albanian education system." Organized by DSA with the support of Save the Children in Albania.
